Track where interest starts
Every postcard, office display, website link, and ad click carries its own source. See where a patient's interest began, so you know which invitations are working.
A label for every starting point

Know which invitation worked
When a new patient calls, “how did you hear about us?” often gets a shrug. Interest can start with a postcard on the fridge, a poster in your lobby, or a late-night search. TrialSmiles gives each starting point its own code or link, so the answer is recorded the moment someone opens your page.
Every postcard carries its own QR code. A scan connects that visit to the mailing it came from, and the code remembers which postcard design was printed on that card. If the person goes on to share their contact details, the lead reaches your portal already labeled with its source.
Your other channels get their own sources too. Lobby posters and office tablets use codes tied to your practice and reused all day, so each visit is counted rather than each code. Website links can be named for the button or page they sit on, and tagged ad links let us recognize those clicks when people arrive.
The codes point to your practice’s smile-preview page and are looked up each time someone scans. A printed card always opens as your practice, and your page can be updated after the cards are printed. Tracking never stands in the way: if a source can’t be read, the person still gets their smile preview.
When more than one postcard design goes out on the same day, households are split into groups with a similar mix of homes, and each group receives a different design. That keeps design comparisons fair, so a postcard isn’t credited or blamed for the neighborhood it happened to reach.
What makes interest traceable
Answer “how did you hear about us?” before you ask
Knowing where interest starts helps you decide where to invest next. You can see which mailings, displays, and links are bringing people to your page, right next to the leads your team is following up with.
Start with the channels you already use. Each one gets its own code or link from the beginning, so the record builds from the very first scan.
